Marinated dried tomatoes

I remember a few years ago tried dried tomatoes, maybe a salad or just watered thoroughly with vegetable oil. I loved it, but the finished jars in the stores I get a little expensive, so sometimes I do at home. Options for spices and flavors are varied.

  • package dried tomatoes
  • salt
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Organic grains of black and white pepper
  • sprig of rosemary

Optionally, you can add more garlic, capers, olives and other herbs - basil, savory, marjoram and others. With thyme also gets a wonderful aroma.

Soak the tomatoes in advance to soften slightly. Strain well and hang in a jar with olive oil and spices. The resulting marinade can be stored for several weeks in the refrigerator.

Add sliced ​​tomatoes to salads, pasta, spaghetti, Italian risotto or even thick cream soups. Homework is delicious. :)
